Catherine Ringer, 2002 at the Solidays festival, Paris. Woman on stage in black and white, holding a microphone, dressed in a patterned kimono; SOPHIE LEROUX watermark visible.

The French rock group Les Rita Mitsouko, whose lead singer was Catherine Ringer, recently passed away. I pay her my personal tribute, as we met again in 2022 at the Django Reinhardt festival and exchanged some lovely anecdotes backstage.

This photo of Catherine and her band was taken in 2002 at the Solidays festival near Paris, one of the first dazzling concerts, breathtaking in its energy!
